THE INVITATION
The Invitation is a one-to-one performance that involves audience participation.
Visitors are invited to participate in an evolving artwork that explores time, memory, and human presence. A sculptural rock serves as canvas and artefact, slowly being transformed by each participant invited to mark, draw, and etch into its surface, leaving traces that accumulate over time.
This collective action mirrors archaeological processes, where layers of history are etched into the surface. As participants contribute to the transformation, the rock becomes more than just stone—it becomes an embodied object.
The process is carefully choreographed throughout the performance, utilising a range of prompts to help focus participants.
